Oktoberfest #downtownhickory 2023

Hickory Downtown Development Association welcomes ALL to the 2023 Oktoberfest featuring (local and German) Music, (the best Christmas) Shopping, tasty Food & Beverages including Olde Hickory Brewery selections all around Union Square, Hickory, NC 28601! And you can help support the event right here and help bring even more fun to the show. We are just under a month away to celebrate Hickory's German heritage (circa 1850). This festival has been held the 2nd weekend in October since 1987 and was co-founded by a Hickory resident, Adolphus “Dolph” Shuford. 

The Castle of Cans has been feeding the hungry in our area for 25 Years. Since 2007, Castle of Cans has contributed 262,396 lbs. of food to local agencies including: The Corner Table of Newton, Exodus Homes, The Family Care Center, Greater Hickory Cooperative Christian Ministries, The Hickory Soup Kitchen, The Salvation Army, and Second Harvest Food Bank.
